We have three fly lakes and a trout stream for fly anglers and we also have two coarse lakes stocked with varied fish from tench to carp.

Fishing Tuition

Here at Narborough Trout Lakes we can offer tuition for all types of angler, whether beginner or just in need of improvement.

Our friendly staff will take you through all the technique needed to land that elusive fish, and for the more advanced angler we have a Salmon & Trout Association APGAI professionally qualified instructor who can help improve your cast and teach you how to present the fly perfectly.

Other lessons can include entomology, fly tying and spey casting.

TROUT FISHING Courses with Tim Gaunt Baker


March 13th - April 3rd - May 1st
Beginners Days:
9.30am to 5.30 pm
A comprehensive days course covering all the aspects you will need to take up Fly fishing, We will cover the equipment you need to start fishing, the casts you need to make, the knots you need to tie and the flies to catch a fish. You will be taken through step by step in relaxed enjoyable sessions. At the end of the course you will receive a booklet (retail value£5,) covering all you have learnt and more! Fish caught will be charged at £3.50 each
Rods and all equipment will be available; all you need to do is turn up with suitable out door clothes, a hat and Sunglasses. A picnic lunch if you prefer, we provide the coffee/tea. Soft drinks can be bought in the shop and we can provide a sandwich platter if you would prefer it (ask at the time of Booking)
Cost £60 per head based on 4 people attending.

March 28th - April 24rd - May 22nd
Improvers Days:
9.30 am to 5.30 pm
This course is designed for those who have been fishing for a year or two or who are self taught. We will be covering, distance casting, hauling, Line control, Stalking fish, and entomology and advanced casting techniques. This course is designed to cover all the areas you feel you need to improve your fishing. At the end of the course you will get a DVD Video personal assessment of your casting before and after and notes to help you. Fish caught will be charged at £3.50 each
Cost £60 per head based on 4 people attending.
