New
2008 season prices available! Click
here for prices page
Everyone will
know that we have held our prices over the last two years in spite
of ever increasing costs and overheads. This year has seen even
more increases.
You also know that we have spent a great deal of money on the
site as a whole and
especially the lakes.
We have reviewed our prices. You might be surprised, hopefully
pleasantly so, to
know that we are in fact REDUCING the prices on
all normal trout fishing and adding an
evening ticket for the summer. Willow ticket prices will
remain unchanged, as will Coarse fishing

After
a rather cold, wet and windy Easter things have settled down nicely
at the lakes. We had our TroutMasters yearly Fish-off on Sat the
29th March, there was a disappointing number who turned up to compete,
so we held the competition on Willow this year for a change! The
winner who now goes on to the Troutmasters final at Grafham later
in the year is John Ripley from Durham who had a nice brace,
one at 11lb 4oz and one at 6lb 2oz.
Another
notable catch this month was regular fisherman Billy Phimister's
first double at 10lb 9oz, so well done to him!
Foresters
and Ashford have come alive this last week after fishing quite hard
on and before Easter, with people now catching their limits and
going on to catch & release. Two new fisherman had 22 trout
released safely between them!
We would
like to remind people that when the summer heat arrives and the
water temp rises, we will have to suspend catch & release, so
come and enjoy the sport now while the going is good! |

Flies
catching at the moment are diawl bach's, montanas, vivas and zulus
fished on floating or intermediate, although other lures and nymphs
are working as well such as hares ears, damsels and olive nymphs.
On mild days there are fly hatches, so dry fly will work on the
